Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of the Director or Charge Nurse. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and implement individualized care plans with the goal of exceptional clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring progress, documenting in the EMR, coordinating with physicians and the care team, and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and clinical best practices.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and revise care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, case management, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety through infection prevention, telemetry monitoring, and emergency response protocols.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, and Unit Secretaries.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, continuing education, competency training, and professional development.
• Mentor and precept new nursing staff and students as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
