Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking a PRN RN PACU to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia. You will monitor patient safety and comfort, adapt quickly to the surgical schedule, and support families throughout the perioperative period.

The role requires active Texas RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS as required), and at least 2 years in PACU or Critical Care, with strong nursing judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assess, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a PRN RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft

We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
