Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a PRN RN PACU to provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation. The PACU RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy, and may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.

Weekdays only, no holidays or weekends; some early mornings and later evenings may be required as the surgical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
