Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft, LLC (11206) seeks a PRN RN for the PACU to provide post-anesthesia care in an outpatient setting. This role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy with careful monitoring as patients awaken from anesthesia or sedation.

The successful candidate will hold an RN license in Texas, have BLS/ACLS, and ideally 2 years of PACU or critical care experience. Availability for varied times during weekdays is preferred to match the surgical schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; continual evaluation of the patient's condition and safety.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care from PACU admission through discharge planning.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a PRN RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
