Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PACU to join our team. This fast-paced ASC environment is committed to delivering high-quality care for patients and their families.

The PACU nurse provides nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia, adheres to physician orders, and supports patient safety and comfort. Work schedule includes Monday to Friday with two Saturdays per month and no on-call requirements.

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and conscious sedation as deemed appropriate.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
