Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PACU to join our team. Our fast-paced ASC focuses on delivering high-quality care and exceptional patient experiences for patients and their families.

Under supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse will implement orders, ensure continuity and safety of care, and assist during procedures with appropriate sterile technique and sedation as required.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients and families from surgery through discharge.
• Administer care with focus on patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

• Monday to Friday work schedule
• Open two Saturday’s a month; must work at least one Saturday a month.
• NO CALL required
• Off most holidays.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
