Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft in The Woodlands, TX is hiring a PRN PACU RN to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia in a multi-room ambulatory setting.

The role requires weekday coverage only (no holidays, weekends, or call) with possible early mornings or late evenings. An accredited RN license in Texas, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/critical care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state where the center operates.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• Two years' experience in PACU or critical care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions using nursing judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all PACU patients.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions after anesthesia or sedation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sterile technique.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate care to prepare patients for discharge.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort at all times.

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft

We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.

Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
