Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Total Joint/Orthopedic Center on the Night shift. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based nursing care to orthopedic and medical patients, with a 1:5-1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Nursing, NJ RN license, CPR and ACLS, plus residency or 1 year acute care RN experience. CentraState offers Magnet designation status and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
NJ RN license current; CPR and ACLS certifications.
Residency program completion or 1 year acute care RN experience.
Dysrhythmia course completion and CSMC IV certification within first year.
Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provides culturally sensitive nursing care following ANA standards and NJ regulations.
Maintains nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-1:6 on the unit.
Administers medications per hospital policies and manufacturer instructions.
Performs thorough patient assessments and documents care plans and progress.
Actively participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Acts as resource nurse and supports float between units when needed.
Provides patient and family education and discharge planning.
