Job summary

Meritus Health in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an RN for the Ortho | Spine | Total Joint Center. This full-time night shift role runs 72 hours biweekly from 6:30pm to 7:00am, with a sign-on bonus up to $30,000.

You will provide care for patients undergoing spinal/orthopedic surgeries, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and use evidence-based nursing processes to promote safe, patient-centered recovery and outcomes.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience.
• Maryland RN license or multi-state compact with Maryland eligibility.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• Magnet-recognition program certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products.
• Manage pain using IV, oral, and PCA.
• Provide oxygen therapy and wound care.
• Set up and monitor traction; maintain orthopedic equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, therapists and families.
• Educate patients to promote recovery and long-term health.
