Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ, seeks a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for night shifts. You will provide patient-centered nursing care, perform assessments, document outcomes, and respond to emergencies in a high-volume ED.

The role requires an NJ RN license, CPR, and residency training or 1 year acute care RN experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive Magnet-recognized environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
• Current NJ RN license required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Graduate of CSMC Residency program, or minimum of 1 year acute care RN experience required (ED preferred).
• Specialty credentialing (PALS/ACLS/IV) within first year and maintained thereafter.
• Strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides culturally sensitive care in accordance with ANA standards and hospital policy.
• Obtains complete nursing history and baseline assessments; documents care.
• Analyzes patient information and formulates nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Administers medications per policy and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Promotes teamwork and participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Functions as resource nurse and supports operations across units.
