Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ invites applications for the RN Residency in the Total Joint & Orthopedic Unit. This 12‑month program is designed for newly licensed RNs or those with less than one year of experience, offering structured clinical experiences and a dedicated preceptor team.

You will rotate through units, focusing on leadership, critical thinking, and professional development while transitioning to independent practice in a high-demand setting.

Qualifications

Must be a soon-to-be or newly licensed RN or have less than one year of working RN experience.
Must have a BSN or ASN degree, passed the NCLEX and have a NJ RN license before the employment start date.
Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Complete a 12‑month program focused on leadership, critical thinking, and professional development.
Be hired as a full-time, benefit eligible employee.
Receive structured didactic content, simulation experiences, informal mentoring and dedicated clinical preceptors.
Float between units to support operations as an RN and provide 1:1 patient observation when needed.
Build clinical, technical, and critical thinking skills under supervision of nurse educators and managers.
