Job summary

CentraState Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical ACE 3-North unit during the night shift. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care to mainly geriatric medical patients, following ANA standards and NJ Nurse Practice Act, in a multidisciplinary setting.

Orientation includes IV training and CPR certification. CentraState offers Magnet designation, comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, and opportunities for growth in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
• NJ RN license required.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS certification to be achieved within first year.
• CSMC IV Certification to be achieved within first year.
• Graduate of CSMC Residency program, or minimum of 1 year acute care RN experience.
• Specialty professional nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respectful, patient-focused nursing care tailored to individual needs.
• Obtains complete nursing history and baseline assessment; communicates findings.
• Documents care plans, interventions, and patient progress per policy.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and needs.
• Partners with multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers medications following policy and manufacturer instructions.
• Recognizes changes in condition and responds to emergencies promptly.
• Participates in quality improvement discussions and initiatives.
