The Saint Joseph Mercy Health System 5 East Orthopedic unit is a 32 bed in the Med. Surgery unit. It takes care of all adult orthopedic patients including total joint replacements and repair of fractured hip patients. Our experienced nursing staff provides excellent Relationship Based Care and is devoted to the orthopedic population. We are Joint Commission Certified for total knee and total hip replacements. This unit includes 32 private patients' rooms each with a private bathroom and shower. Our patient population consists mainly of Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements, hip fracture patients, and general orthopedic patients. We also accommodate general medicine patients.
Shifts Available: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Status Available: Full time, Part time Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.
Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
