Job summary

IHA is seeking a Registered Nurse for 4 East Inpatient Rehab at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. The role covers inpatient rehab for patients with TBI, stroke, orthopedic surgery, and spinal cord trauma, with shifts from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.

We require Michigan RN licensure, BLS, ACLS for specific departments, and a BSN is preferred or must be pursued within 5 years. Canadian RNs are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing with ability to sit for NCLEX and obtain RN license.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.
• BSN preferred or agreement to obtain BSN within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back to educate patient and family.
• Seeks to prevent potential hospital-acquired conditions.

Position Purpose

4 East Inpatient Rehab: Inpatient rehab, and a well-coordinated conditioning program for patients suffering from TBI, stroke, orthopedic surgery, and spinal cord trauma.

Shifts Available

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Status Available: Full time, Part time Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.

Required Qualifications

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments : Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency

Experience

Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply

• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
