Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an RN OR Scheduler to coordinate daily operating room schedules, collaborating with the perioperative team and surgeon offices to optimize patient flow. Qualifications

• Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Hired after July 1, 2014 without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within five years.
• Hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN to remain in this role.
• Current NC RN license or compact RN licensure required; professional specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule OR events and analyze the schedule to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Lead scheduling meetings with stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
• Orient new hires to the department and provide guidance.
• Run reports and perform data analysis to optimize schedule execution.
• Use nursing judgment to ensure perioperative patient safety.
