Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN for PRN Operating Room shifts. You will evaluate patients pre-operatively, educate families about procedures, administer preoperative medications, and participate in surgical time-outs and debriefings.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative care. The role requires ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within 30 days of start date, and an Associate Degree as the minimum education.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively and prepare for surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative care.
• Administer preoperative medications and intravenous therapy as ordered.
• Participate in surgical site verification, briefings, time-outs, and debriefings.
• Monitor patient condition during shift and document changes promptly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and care teams to optimize patient safety and workflow.
