Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Peri-operative team in a PRN capacity. You will collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver intra-operative care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for each patient.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (or multistate license), BLS within 30 days of start, and ideally 1 year of perioperative or acute care RN experience. ACLS/PALS within 6 months, CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferred.
• ACLS, PALS required within 6 months of start.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situations.
• Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients.
• Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR.
• Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care.
• Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Keep the operating room sterilized.
• Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
