Job summary

Springfield Hospital in Vermont is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Premium Per Diem role. You will provide nursing care aligned with established Standards, use the Nursing Process for judgment and documentation, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.

The position requires an ADN or BSN, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with PALS preferred. Premium shifts, minimum 3 per week (12-hour) or 4 per week (8-hour) are noted; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
• Basic Dysrhythmia
• De-escalation Training (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Procedural Sedation skills (Required within three (3) months of hire)
• Aseptic technique (Required within three (3) months of hire)
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.

Premium Per Diem positions requires a minimum of three (3) shifts per week for a unit scheduling with 12-hour shifts and four (4) shifts per week for a unit scheduling with 8-hour shift per week.

Salary Range: The Premium Per Diem role is $65.00 per hour and is not eligible for differential pay (i.e., "per diem", "shift", "weekend" or "holiday").
