Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Oncology Infusion Nurse for the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.

This full-time day shift role provides high-volume cancer treatments and supportive care, with 36 hours weekly (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.). The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing and Michigan RN licensure, with BLS and ONCC certifications preferred. Oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Competency-based orientation program required.
• RN license in Michigan at hire.
• BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross) within 90 days.
• Oncology-specific certifications (OCN or equivalent) required for chemo/immunotherapy areas; radiation therapy certs if in radiation dept; 1 year experience.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per ANA standards and Michigan law.
• Applies nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality cancer care.

About Lemmen Holton Cancer Center

We treat cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. We use a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in any type of cancer.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Nursing
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
• CRT-Oncology Nursing Society - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate course completion required for RNs working in departments where chemotherapy/immunotherapy is administered. Radiation Therapy certificate course is required for RNs working in radiation departments. 1 Year required
• CRT-Oncology Certified Nurse - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation OCN Certification (or other applicable Oncology specialty/leadership certification) preferred
• Oncology experience preferred
