Job summary

Mercy Hospital in a high-paced OB/Mother Baby unit seeks a dedicated RN for night, full-time shifts. 36 hours per week in a fast-moving department providing care to mothers and newborns.

The role covers Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, with opportunities to float as needed. Current RN license and BLS are required; strong teamwork and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with an accredited program graduate.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB ED.
• Maintain competencies and may float between departments as needed.
• Deliver safe patient care in a high-paced Obstetrics unit.

Overview:

We are high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care along Post Women's Surgical unit. Within our unit we have:40-MB rooms,15-LDR rooms,14-High Risk Antepartum,8-bed OBED unit,4-LIBC Birthing Suites, and4-Pre Post Rooms 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases). We also have Full time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family Women's Center. Nurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.

Qualifications:

Education : Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing programLicensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.Physical requirements/demands : Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform dutiesCertifications : Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
