Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is seeking a registered nurse to join the Obstetrics and Mother Baby care team on the Night shift. The unit handles Labor & Birth, antepartum, and well newborn care, with lactation support and a dedicated OBED presence.

You will maintain competencies, float between departments as needed, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and babies. A current RN license and BLS are required; 36 hours per week, nights, full time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds and stand/walk throughout shifts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department.
• Float between departments based on patient care needs.

Overview

We are high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care along Post Women’s Surgical unit.

Within Our Unit We Have

• 40-MB rooms
• 15-LDR rooms
• 14-High Risk Antepartum
• 8-bed OBED unit
• 4-LIBC Birthing Suites
• 4-Pre Post Rooms 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases

Within our unit we also have Full time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family's Women's Center.

Nurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
