Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Brookfield, CT is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee the Resident Care Department under the Resident Care Director. The role requires an RN license and involves on-floor nursing support, coaching, and supervision of care providers.

Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday; compensation is $48–$50 per hour based on experience. The ADON conducts assessments, ensures regulatory compliance, and may be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice RN experience.
• 2 years RN experience in a care setting.
• Gerontology certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Dementia care a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• On-call availability as identified by the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Resident Care Department under leadership of the Resident Care Director.
• Coach and supervise all resident care service providers.
• Provide on-floor nursing support to residents.
• Interact with family members and conduct assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation.
