Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland in Topeka, KS seeks a Registered Nurse supervisor to oversee Nursing Services, ensure care quality, and support the Director of Nursing. You will supervise staff, coordinate with physicians, monitor compliance, and help prepare for inspections.

Responsibilities include implementing policies, maintaining patient safety, and driving QA activities across the unit. RN licensure in state and 2+ years supervisory experience required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates plans for total resident care in line with physician orders and regulations.
• Communicates policies to nursing staff and monitors implementation.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents.
• Manages daily/weekly meetings to discuss resident status and concerns.
• Ensures compassionate, quality care with adequate staffing and safety.
• Monitors QA activities and regulatory compliance through rounds and audits.
• Supports Director of Nursing and prepares staff for inspections.
• Designs systems to implement clinical programs and infection control.
• Monitors incidents and complaints, investigates abuse/neglect allegations.
