Job summary

FIRSTCOAST is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities across the facility during tour of duty. The role ensures care aligns with federal, state, and local regulations and maintains high-quality resident care.

The RN will participate in policy development, ensure nursing staff adherence to procedures, and collaborate with the DON/ADON as applicable to maintain standards across all nursing services.

Qualifications

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility.
• Participate in developing and maintaining written policies and procedures.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing activities in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Develop and update policies overseeing the nursing service department.
• Attend committee meetings (Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Quality Assurance) as required.
• Ensure adequate staffing of RNs, LPNs, and certified nursing assistants for each shift.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness, and compliance with hand hygiene and infection control procedures.
