Job summary

NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals in Indianapolis seeks a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead clinical care and nursing staff under the DON. The role ensures high‑quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective unit management.

Requires RN licensure in Indiana, BSN preferred, and at least 1 year of nursing experience. Psychiatric/acute care background is a plus. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensed in Indiana is required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Experience in psychiatric and/or acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate total patient care on the unit.
• Assess patient condition through observation and chart review.
• Develop nursing care plans aligned with assessments and physician orders.
• Direct non‑professional staff to implement care plans and assign tasks.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed.
• Administer medications and IV fluids per policy; perform lab draws and report results.
• Perform Point of Care testing and maintain related competencies.
• Carry out complex and routine treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Make regular rounds with physicians; monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
• Identify issues and coordinate with other departments to resolve operational problems.
