Job summary

Vivo Healthcare Normandy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Jacksonville, FL to assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations in accordance with regulations.

You will supervise nursing staff, ensure quality patient care, participate in performance evaluation criteria, and help ensure proper staffing and patient safety. A nursing degree and active state license are required, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have at least two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Must have at least six months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning and directing daily nursing functions.
• Ensure staffing information is posted daily and assist with scheduling.
• Lead by example with unit supervisors and uphold customer service standards.
• Make rounds with physicians and schedule physician visits as needed.
• Prepare reports on nursing programs and activities for committees.
• Determine staffing needs and develop work assignments for nursing staff.
• Oversee total nursing care to ensure compliance with standards.
