Job summary

Vivo Healthcare Normandy seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations. You will help ensure quality care in alignment with federal, state, and local standards and collaborate with the Administrator and Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Must possess an active nursing license in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and utilize computer systems for tasks.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of nursing practices and regulations pertaining to long-term care.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day nursing functions.
• Work to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines.
• Assist in scheduling, staffing, and reporting to nursing committees.
• Make rounds with physicians as necessary and schedule physician visits.
• Lead by example with unit supervisors and demonstrate customer service and professionalism.
• Prepare reports on nursing programs and activities for committees.
• Develop work assignments and duty schedules for nursing staff.
• Ensure direct nursing care is provided by licensed personnel.
• Maintain liaison with residents and families to plan needs and care.
