Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital seeks an experienced RN Manager for the Progressive Care (PCU) unit to lead staffing and daily operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Manager will oversee nursing practice, enforce established policies, and drive clinical outcomes in support of the facility’s objectives. A leadership role with opportunities for growth within HCA Healthcare is offered.

Qualifications

• Florida license or recognized compact licensure
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days)
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days)
• RN Licensed Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year as a full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator or Nursing Management

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit function and staffing to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Monitor nursing practice per policies and procedures and drive improvements in clinical outcomes.
• Hold staff accountable for quality, safety, and service standards.
• Support facility objectives and foster a collaborative leadership environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• (RN) Registered Nurse

• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
