Responsibilities

• Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations.
• Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team feels supported, valued, and empowered to speak up and contribute.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning.
• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates and provide guidance.
• Maintains unit readiness for audits and surveys, ensuring regulatory compliance and preparedness.
• Manages nursing staff schedules and budgets to meet coverage and financial goals.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs for quality patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
