Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a Full-time Nurse Manager to lead nursing practice and service delivery in the Surgery Department. You will partner with leadership to interview, hire, and supervise staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality patient care.

The role requires an RN license in the state and a BSN; management experience is preferred. Expect 36 hours per week with day/evening coverage and on-site duties in Concord, NC.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure in the relevant state.
• BSN degree required; MSN or management certification preferred.
• Experience in nursing leadership/management is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
• Assists with coordination of communication at regular intervals throughout shifts via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information and promote dialogue with teammates.
• Collaborates with manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, healthcare services and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to gauge satisfaction and appropriateness of care and operations.
• Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare workers per policy parameters.
• Assists in identifying outcomes to guide continuity of care and operations.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to teammates.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
• Coordinates patient flow and staffing through ongoing assessment of volume/acuity needs.
