Ciena Healthcare, Michigan’s largest provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services, is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead and teach nursing staff in our facilities. You will supervise RNs, LPNs and CNAs, oversee nursing procedures, and contribute to care plans for guests.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification is required; additional certification in a nursing specialty is desirable.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs and CNAs.
• Reviews and implements nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates systems enabling quality guest care and staff performance.
• Uses a systematic nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contributes to guest assessments and development/implementation of care plans.
• Evaluates guests' responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands and administers medications and treatments as needed.
