Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC seeks a Nurse Educator to orient and educate nursing staff in a long-term care setting, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care in line with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

You will develop education programs, supervise staff during orientation, perform competency testing, and oversee Employee Health initiatives, reporting to the Director of Nursing. An RN license and strong clinical expertise are required.

Qualifications

• RN license required from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum three years of full-time clinical experience preferred.
• Two years in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs.
• Teach current patient care and nursing center practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate staff performance.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program (TB, hepatitis vaccines, influenza tracking).
