Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Educator to orient and educate nursing staff in our long-term care centers, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care.

You will report to the Director of Nursing, develop education programs, supervise orientation, and conduct annual competency evaluations. Experience in gerontology and adult learning preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Experience in clinical nursing and education preferred.
• Gerontology exposure appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program including TB and hepatitis vaccines and influenza immunizations tracking.
