Job summary

RiseMe in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Nurse Educator to orient and educate nursing staff, ensuring safe, evidence-based care in our long-term care facility. You will report to the Director of Nursing and develop education programs aligned with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree with current RN license, 3+ years clinical experience (long-term care and teaching preferred), and expertise in gerontology and adult learning.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program including TB/hepatitis vaccines and influenza tracking.
