Job summary

Complete Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Educator & Infection Preventionist for a full-time day shift. The role requires an active RN license and long-term care experience. Nursing leadership and infection prevention expertise are preferred.

The position focuses on developing and evaluating infection prevention goals, implementing facility-wide prevention systems, and maintaining staff development records across the facility. Strong independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
• Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.
