Job summary

Complete Care at Silver Lake in Delaware is hiring an RN Nurse Educator and Infection Preventionist for a full-time day shift. The role requires an active RN license and long-term care experience, with educator and infection prevention background preferred.

You will collaborate with facility leadership to develop infection prevention goals, maintain staff development records, and identify learning needs to meet resident care goals.

Qualifications

• Must have an Active RN Registered Nurse license.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Nurse Educator/Infection Prevention experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
• Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.
