Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Clifton, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse Non-Acute to provide patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will collect comprehensive data, perform age- and disease-specific assessments, and develop a plan of care aimed at achieving expected outcomes.

You will communicate and coordinate the plan with patients, families, and the healthcare team, administer medications using bar-scanning technology, evaluate progress, and address ethical issues.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or plan to obtain within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
• NJ State RN license and BLS within 60 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes and initiate interventions as needed.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them with team members.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education for accreditation and licensing.
