Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are highly preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• 1 year or more of acute care nursing experience highly desired.
• ED nursing experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate plan of care with nursing staff, physicians and support services.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
• Document nursing care and events per established protocols.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
