Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, CO, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night-weekend shift. An active RN license, 1 year Med Surg experience and BLS certification, plus English fluency and basic computer skills, are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, revising as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care activities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions; adjust to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to nursing teammates to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage in continuous professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively.
