Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Patient Care Leader for the Clinical Decision Unit to provide operational and clinical leadership during night shifts. You will guide patient-centered care, ensure evidence-based practice, and manage resources and schedules while role-modeling professional nursing practice.

The role requires a BSN, RN license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of nursing experience with leadership exposure.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state where you practice.
• BSN degree.
• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably including charge nurse or leadership roles.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to lead in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork across diverse groups.
• Proficient in critical thinking and timely decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Provides operational and clinical leadership to the unit during assigned shift including serving as a clinical resource.
• Leads the provision and coordination of patient-centered, compassionate and wholistic care.
• Promotes accountability for evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making; improves outcomes.
• Anticipates and secures resources for the current shift and next 24 hours.
• Supports creation/oversight of department schedule; updates schedule and timecard as needed.
• Performs the principal duties of the Registered Nurse and serves as a role model for professional practice.
