Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Sherman is seeking a Patient Care Leader to oversee the Clinical Decision Unit during the full-time night shift (7p-7:30a). The role requires a BSN, RN licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience to guide clinical decision-making and patient-centered care.

The unit provides short-term monitoring and treatment decisions to determine admission or discharge, with a collaborative nursing team and comprehensive Advocate Health Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 2+ years nursing experience, preferably including charge nurse or other leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational and clinical leadership to the unit during assigned shift including serving as a clinical resource.
• Leads the provision and coordination of patient-centered, compassionate and wholistic care.
• Promotes accountability for evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making and improvement of outcomes through enculturation of performance improvement activities.
• Anticipates and secures appropriate resources needed for own shift and next 24 hours.
