Job summary
Frederick Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Full Time Night Shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The Labor & Delivery unit requires 1 year of L&D nursing experience, an RN license in Maryland, and BLS/NRP credentials.
The role includes holiday rotation, on-call duties, and a 72-hour pay period with three 12-hour shifts. The RN will provide patient-centered care, use the nursing process, lead teaching efforts, and participate in quality improvement activities while ensuring safety and
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or a compact state.
- Minimum 1 year Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
- BLS, NRP on hire or within set timeframe; C-EFM certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process on the night shift.
- Lead and teach others, participate in quality improvement.
- Assess patient needs, plan and document care per policy.
- Communicate changes to the health care team in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
- Float to other units as needed and maintain department standards.
