Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery on a part-time night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role involves 32 hours per pay period, two 8-hour shifts weekly, with holiday rotation and on-call requirements. The unit offers obstetric care and a scrub RN training path after one year of employment.

The RN provides patient care using the nursing process, leads and teaches as needed, and participates in quality improvement while complying with licensing and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning needs per nursing standards.
• Identify patient needs and prioritize treatment; document changes accurately.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan of care with nursing diagnoses.
• Educate patients and families; ensure timely communication within the health care team.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and adherence to hospital policies.
