Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse to join Labor & Delivery on a part-time, night shift schedule. Hours are Monday–Friday, 1900–0730, with 48 hours per pay period and weekend, holiday rotation and on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience, current Maryland RN license, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certifications. RN scrub training at 1 year is preferred and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland.
Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment
Min 1 yr Labor & Delivery Nursing Experience Required
BLS certification is required
NRP certification required upon hire or within 90 days of employment
C-EFM certification required upon hire or within 1 yr of employment
Experience in L&D Required. Scrub RN training preferred.

Responsibilities

Assesses the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning of patients according to nursing standards.
Uses knowledge and experience in identifying patient needs and prioritizing treatment. Recognizes and accurately documents and communicates subtle changes in patient assessment.
Provides initial assessment and reassessments according to current organizational and department standard for Assessment of Patients and Nursing Assessment and documents according to policy.
