Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking experienced registered nurses for night shift positions on the 3B unit, a general Med/Surg adult/Geriatric population. Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with weekends and holidays required.

Eligible nurses may receive a $30,000 sign-on bonus. The role emphasizes patient care, teaching, discharge planning, and collaboration with the health care team. The RN will perform nursing assessment, care planning, documentation, and support continuous quality

Qualifications

• Assesses biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning per nursing standards.
• Documents patient status and communicates with the health care team in a timely, concise manner.
• Provides teaching and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patient needs; document changes in patient condition.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan of care using nursing diagnoses.
• Communicate with patients, families and the health care team; provide education.
• Lead and mentor less experienced staff; participate in department standards.
• Float to other units as needed and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
