Job summary

Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an RN for the LDRP unit on the night shift. This full-time role offers 72 hours biweekly (630pm - 7am) with a sign-on bonus up to $30,000.

The LDRP unit provides family-centered maternity care with 32 beds, 170–190 deliveries monthly, and 24-hour neonatology and anesthesia coverage. Join a collaborative team focused on safe, high-quality outcomes and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher required; BSN preferred.
• BLS and NRP certification required (or obtained within a set timeframe).
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Support mothers and families during labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and assist in labor support and delivery procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Educate and support new mothers in infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Labor: 1:1 patient assignment (occasionally 1:2). Postpartum: 1:3 couplets (occasionally 1:4).
