Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Float Nurse RN to provide compassionate patient care across units, with a two-year commitment bonus of $15,000 and nights full time 6:30/7:00 with rotating weekends.

You will work with a team of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to assess patient needs, administer treatments, document care, and ensure patient comfort and safety while floating where needed to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and decisive judgment in stressful environments.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems.
• Effective English communication, written and verbal.
• Complete Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• Current RN license in state of practice (Kentucky).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process across multiple inpatient units.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Collaborates to coordinate care and supports education for patients and families.
