Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Behavioral Health Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift with rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and administer meds, monitor patients, and document care as part of a collaborative interprofessional team.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), Kentucky license, BCLS, and a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current LPN license to practice in Kentucky and BCLS certification (within one week of hire).

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for behavioral health patients.
Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support).
Deliver age- and culture-appropriate patient and family education.
Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and continuing education.
Provide quality patient care and may be assigned on call or to other shifts/units as needed.
