Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital SCA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU night shift in Riverside, California. The role focuses on specialized care for critically ill newborns in a 21-bed unit, with a 60-person nursing team supporting high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Level III NICU experience.
• Ability to care for infants transitioning from Level I to Level III.
• Current California RN License.
• NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient ratios 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 with individualized infant care.
• Perform critical procedures including line placement and intubations.
• Document accurately in Meditech and CPN EMR systems.
• Collaborate with NICU team and float to Postpartum as needed.

Our unit features 21 beds, flexing to 37, supported by an experienced nursing team of 60 professionals. Your expertise will contribute to the high-quality care and effective outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, ensuring individualized care for each infant.
• Perform critical procedures including line placements and intubations.
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically Meditech and CPN, for accurate patient documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with the NICU team and float to Postpartum as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of Level III NICU experience.
• Ability to care for infants transitioning from Level I to Level III.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current California RN License.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
