St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Newborn Nursery on a PRN basis.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned newborn patients, working alongside Labor and Delivery, obstetric, and neonatal staff to ensure individualized care per hospital policy. The role requires 1 year of RN experience, a BSN, and Texas RN licensure (or Compact license with Texas licensure within 90 days).

Formación

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN
• BSN degree required
• Current Texas RN license (or Compact license with Texas license due within 90 days)
• BLS certification required by policy
• NRP certification required by policy

Responsabilidades

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for newborns in the nursery
• Complete admission assessment and discharge planning within 2 hours of admission
• Initiate and update critical pathways during admission
• Identify and report changes in patient condition to unit personnel
• Administer and document medications
• Evaluate and modify plans of care and patient teaching as needed
